Overview
The Monash Institutes of Health (MIH) represents a co-operative
organisation encompassing a number of Australia's leading biomedical
research organisations. Organised as two major sites within 15-25
minutes from the centre of Melbourne in the State of Victoria, MIH
represents approximately 2000 research staff and budgets in excess
of $AUD100 million per annum.
MIH offers full service biotechnology facilities taking research
from the benchtop to the bedside and beyond through unique combinations
of -
- discovery;
- large cross-section of research areas;
- clinical, scientific and management talent;
- significant capacity for clinical trials;
- links to extensive primary care programs;
- extensive incubator facilities;
- teaching and educational facilities;

in both platform, applied and clinical research at the university,
teaching hospitals and most importantly, the specialised world-class
