- Current research activities
Primarily the factors (ECM and growth factors) that regulate
skeletal muscle growth and regeneration. The primary focus of
my research is the cell biology of myogenesis and in particular
the impact various components of the basement membrane and extracellular
matrix has o0n the process of skeletal muscle formation. Another
focus is the niche environmental conditions that regulate entry
of stem cells into the myogenic lineage.
